...with the monitor at the dimmest setting and the Christmas lights on which I may ask Kevin to leave up all next year.  But still only for a few minutes.

I tried looking at some posts this morning during daylight, no lights on in the house, and the computer monitor on dimmest setting, and had a migraine in short order that took half the day to get rid of.

It may be next year before I get to really play The Sims in any form again because I noticed that on the days and the days after the days I played a Sims game, my ability to communicate vocally or visually (pointing at stuff) and understand basic words dropped significantly.  I am thinking the problem is that once I got back into playing my habit of over planning everything instead of letting it happen organically kicked in and my brain does not like planning right now.  So from now until Christmas I am watching a Harry Potter DVD a night along with the special features disc on the days Kevin is working since he gets home well after dark and the screen is easier to see in the dark; thank you Christmas sales for making DVDs anywhere from $5 to $10 except for last movie because now I have them all!!!  Which I was not expecting.  After Christmas, I'm hoping to try and do a reinstall of The Sims 3 on the laptop and re-download of what I have from the Sims 3 Store so I can back them up onto a DVD since once the Sims 2 was done they took the store away on that site and I don't want to lose access to the files incase we do get a new PC tower for me some day that can actually play the game better.

In other news, I've lost 35 pounds on the raw vegan diet.  Well, mostly raw vegan, we occasionally get a baked potato or french fries for me just for the salt because I don't get enough sodium otherwise.  I keep thinking the weight loss will lead to better health but at the very least I can now fit in things I wore shortly after Kevin and I got married and right before the migraines started, so, yeah for that!

Wow 35 pounds sounds great! has that made any difference to your health at all? I still think the whole thing sounds very much like epilepsy. Certain monitor settings I can't take at all. I only have to look at a Black LJ blog with white writing for a few seconds to go kind of weird in the head. I've gone and changed it now so everyone is on my view-kind of boring but its cut back down on the sudden black on white.

Hope you feel well for Christmas.
You would think having lost 35 pounds I would have less bone and joint pain, but so far no luck there. The IBS backed down for about a month when the raw veganism was first started and then once it got used to the new food turned right back on.

We have been looking at fibromyalgia and one person suggested MS which is something I actually fear because I started throwing one symptom for that back in high school, but it never went beyond the only symptom I knew, although Kevin looked into and says I have about 90% of the symptoms for that. Is there a non-seizing form of epilepsy? They tested me for seizures about 4 times, twice because of an arm tremor that happened two different times in front of doctors (happened two others times not in front of doctors) and epilepsy does run in my family (my mom got my brother tested without any symptoms just to make sure since they were looking at me for it).

Thank you for the comment and the suggestion.
I have constant joint pain, but I've never asked a Dr about it because if it's connected to my condition which is rare, they know nothing much about it anyway. (I think I've said before that I have periventricular heterotopia) I also have IBS and strange buzzings in my toes and itches on my hands and feet, but mine really sounds mild compared to what you go through. Even my neurologist knows nothing except how to diagnose it on an MRI.
I've looked into both fibromyalgia and MS online, but I know I don't have enough symptoms for any of my troubles to be that. But MS, epilepsy and migraines are all related so cross over symptoms would be expected. And yes there are non seizing forms of epilepsy, where it's more like a strange disorientating attack. Mine changed over the teen years and one of the last seizures I had was when I was 20 and I was just walking around trying to pick stuff up which I couldn't grasp, I'd grab next to it and also I was told I wanted to know the time and couldn't tell what it was. I just sat down on a chair and blacked out and after awhile I woke up with a headache. Headaches and feeling nauseous always come after I had a seizure no matter what age or type they have been. Have you ever had an MRI? That would say if it's any kind of epilepsy. They said I was somehow free of epilepsy 10 years ago and I went 8 years med free, then one day I had a full on seizure out of the blue and was put back on meds. That was two years ago, so they finally did an MRI and I got diagnosed with that 'ph' condition above. They told me the EEG's just weren’t sensitive enough to pick it up and the MRI made it easy to diagnose. Kind of annoyed me as they should have done an MRI years ago if this condition is so easy to see. I could have gone and gotten a licence in those 8 years and killed somebody. Lucky I don’t drive.
They have done two MRIs on me, but found nothing. In March Kevin will hopefully be able to get the medical going again and the plan he is planning to get will let us go to one of the top five medical schools in the country so we are hoping that if anyone will be able to figure out what is wrong with me, they will.
35 pounds of weight loss is fantastic! And I am jealous of all your Harry Potter DVD collection. I haven't seen the last few movies (from Order of the Phoenix onwards) and I think I will have to remedy that soon.

It's a good idea to make a backup of all the Store stuff you have. They have already started taking down sets that were released when the Store first opened so people can't buy them any more. Let me know if there is anything you are missing and that you want.
Kevin's pretty good about finding them on sale when they come out, although he did make me wait to get 7 part 1 until part 2 was also out because we were expecting a combo pack for the two together, but didn't find one. Amazon has some pretty good deals depending on what version you are looking for so that might be a good place to start.

I am missing most of the store items (http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=iliveforsleep) link to my wish list page. When the game first came out Kevin got a bunch of cards because a store was selling them here for half off so he bought them out. He did get me two cards just recently because another store had them on clearance (for the store, not because they are being discontinued) because he knew I want the new town that is up so I will be getting that although I am waiting until Christmas to see if they put it on sell between now and then. The baby swing is what I want the most, and will buy if I still have any points left over after the town is purchased. With the exception of Barnacle Bay, I don't have anything that was added after 12/31/09 so I'll take anything really. If there is something that was posted before 2010 that you wanted but didn't get and isn't on my wishlist, let me know, I'll see if I have it. I am going to be updating the wishlist with single items over the course of the next couple of weeks so that I can see what I can get with whatever points I have left over after buying the town so it may change (get longer) depending on when you look at it, I only added sets so far.
