Welcome to the Zimmerman home - 36 Sim Lane/Mosquito Cove. An expensive and oddly shaped rooms, I do not plan on changing the outside, but the upstairs will eventually have to accommodate two bedrooms.

It is probably just me, but because of the way the sink lines up with the wall, I see the gray pattern as part of the floor and the floral part as the wall. This had me really confused for a while, actually, it still has me confused.

This is from his very first day, Sunday. I wanted him to meet and marry an NPC because I have an odd obsession with them in this game. I feel like I win whenever one of them gets married into a family.

I had him harvest some apples because I knew I wanted to start a "small" garden. So long as it doesn't become every seed he finds in the game I'll probably be okay, but I am really bad about doing that so we will see how long this lasts. It is probably good his property has a lot of water on it, it will make it harder to find places to plant crops.

I had high hopes for her, but I did want him to be with someone he actually rolled wants for and since he didn't, she wasn't it.

Best shot I have of his face. He spends a lot of time in his underwear at home, not sure why.

When he met Molly French on the first day at work.

The living room. I bought the bookcase and the sofa, it was all he could afford. I forgot to take a picture of the kitchen area, it is ridiculously tiny, which is why the fridge was on the porch when he bought the place.

They sort of went on a date. Not really, Molly just happened to be there after work and when I found out she would accept the flirts well before a regular Sim would, I went for it.

This is what he did when he got home after kissing Molly. He felt pretty pleased with himself I bet.

Just to show he did get that second promotion.

I am torn over whether or not to redo the flooring and walls, I cannot stand changing anything that is Maxis made, but since I wanted a "non-box" home, I picked the only one he could afford since I am bad at building them. I know that every time I place this neighborhood it will have this home in its original condition and I don't even have to regenerate the EA folder to recreate the neighborhood like in The Sims 2 so I know I shouldn't be so conflicted over this, but I am and so his walls will probably be like this for a while.

Also, could someone tell me if this is considered good picture quality, I can never tell. I want to make sure I am not reducing the file sizes too much, although at this point I can't even tell if the original images are any good.

I see what you mean about the optical illusion in the bathroom. I don't see it all the time just now and then - it's almost like a Mysterious Mr Gnome, it only moves when you're not watching. Most odd. I'd probably have to redecorate :)

I'd recommend that you only redecorate/alter as you want to - if it were me, I'd probably do it in response to a growing family, if I didn't want to move. Just changing a little at a time, like you would in real life... especially if he got married, a new partner would probably want to spruce things up with a lick of paint... and a new bathroom suite (that last is probably because I need one of those in r/l.)

I'm possibly not the best one to comment on picture quality. Mine is so bad at times. I think yours looks better than mine. You appear to have more texture and definition in the ground (not covered by terrain paint). Plus your sims' faces don't appear as washed out as mine sometimes get. (I've been told that it may relate to the lighting in the game.)

I like your pictures and they feel like a nice size.

I'm glad it is not just me, I thought I was actually going crazy at one point. Because of my migraines sometimes my vision gets dark spots or bright spots depending on something, not sure what, but sometimes I think I am seeing shadows that aren't really there. So when it looked like the room was growing and shrinking, I was getting worried.

"a new bathroom suite...probably because I need one of those in r/l."

I know what you mean on that one; the bathroom we have right now is alright, but we need an extra toilet, just to give me piece of mind when there is more than one person home.

I'll probably eventually start changing things, it just may go slower than other people who I read storied by.

"I like your pictures and they feel like a nice size."

Thank you, hopefully I can stop stressing over the picture quality. There seems to be a broader range of possibly qualities with The Sims 3 over The Sims 2 and because it is harder for me to tell right now (not sure why, maybe I need new glasses again) I was worrying about it for reasons I can't even really explain.
PS I was amused by his reaction after kissing Molly.

PPS I'm reading another TS3 Viking Death Squad Legacy by Perchalicious - one of her Sims, Victor, was another one who seemed to be in his underwear a lot - but only when everything was allright with his world, or at least so it seemed.

So was I, I haven't seen a Sim do that before.

I'll have to go look that up, I have been enjoying the handful of Viking Death Squad stories I have found so far because no two seem to be following the same path. With Legacies there are a lot that work the same way (including some of the ones I have done/am doing) where it is just picture/caption, picture/caption birth/birthday/promotion/death with no real "moments of life" in-between. I'm not saying those aren't good, but when you find 10 in a row from different people, it can make you wonder.
